I am sitting here in the cafe, working on my website.  I am trying to write about who we are and what we do here at T.A.N Coffee.  When I decided to open a cafe, I wanted to start a  business that had meaning.  Fair trade organic coffee was that meaningful choice.

Since I opened here on Queen West the reception has been fantastic.  I am proud and excited to become part of the vibrant community of galleries, artists and specialty shops that make this area unique. On our very tables I see connections being made.  Artists meeting writers. Writers meeting photographers.  And more, much more, and it all starts with a simple cup of coffee.

Our community, however, is bigger than our street.  I know the names of the farmers. I have been to the farms where our beans are grown.  Our community extends across Canada and half way around the world.  T.A.N truly is a network.  We buy our beans directly from the farmers and roast them locally in our own cafes.  This gives you the best coffee, the farmer the best deal while reducing waste and providing the most environmentally friendly service possible.

So please come in and try my coffee!
